There are two ways to fabricate
aluminum railing: ‘All-Welded’ and mechanical.
A mechanical railing system is assembled with screws, much like
an erector set. This creates a reaction between the dissimilar
metals called electrolysis. This process begins slowly
upon assembly of the railing, and continues eating away at the
railing and the fasteners or screws until the railing falls
into disrepair. With our salt air environment, this corrosive
action occurs more rapidly causing needless repairs, as well as early replacement
of the railing. Our ‘All-Welded’ railing is superior to a mechanical rail system because there are no screws or fasteners to loosen or corrode. Our ‘All-Welded’ aluminum railing is virtually maintenance free!

Materials
Our standard railing consists
of 2 in. sq. posts at .093 wall thickness, and pickets at 3/4
in. sq. with a .062 wall. Compare this to the normally
found .045 wall which is considerably thinner, lighter
in weight and more easily damaged.

|
| Our cap is removable. It
attaches to our top channel in a uniquely fitted way and is held
firmly with aluminum rivets. If somehow the cap is damaged,
we only need to replace that piece of cap, leaving the entire
railing in place throughout the repair. |
