Reflexology
Reflexology
is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas
in the feet and hands, which correspond to all of the glands, organs
and parts of the body. Reflexology is a unique method of using the thumb
and fingers on these areas. Great for relieving stress and to improve
blood flow to the nerve impulses.
Thai
Yoga Massage
The work itself
consists primarily of pressure on energy lines and points with a variety
of yoga stretching movements. The massage is performed on a mat on the
floor; this allows for the most effective use of the practitioners body
weight rather than muscular force to create a highly therapeutic effect.
Great for increasing flexibility and range.
CranioSacral
Therapy
A very gentle touch
technique that works on the body's soft tissue. Its primary purpose
is to restore a state of balance to the central nervous system. It creates
a deep relaxed state where your body and mind can begin the healing
process. Highly recommended for staying in a state of well-being.
Myofascial
Release
Deep tissue massage
works with the intent of increasing movement and flexibility and the
reduction or elimination of pain. This treatment is valuable in stretching
the body's soft tissue allowing a normal flow of blood to the organs.
Recommended for the sports minded.
Vodder's
Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic circulation
can be enhanced by lymphatic massage. Lymph is a clear fluid containing
lymphocytes (T-cells and B-cells of the immune system) which circulate
through the channels of the lymphatic system carrying waste away from
all parts of the body to the lymph nodes. The lymph nodes filter out
the wastes in the lymph, particularly bacteria, preventing it from entering
the bloodstream, while at the same time allowing lymphocytes to pass
through. Recommended for cancer and immune deficiencies. Backed by the
American Cancer Society and the Arthritis Foundation.
