Small Business Services

Mr. McLaughlin's services include assisting with the legal aspects of beginning a small business venture. He does not handle companies that are or intend to be publicly traded.

Three Primary Concerns for Small Business Owners:

1. What will happen to me with taxes and personal liability exposure?
   Mr. McLaughlin will help you decide the best format to set up your business: corporation, joint venture, sole proprietorship, limited liability company or partnership.
2. What happens if we do not make money or if one of us wants to sell our part of the business?
   Mr. McLaughlin will assist in setting up Tax ID numbers, counseling clients on how to handle buyouts, and ensure that one partner cannot sell his/her portion of the business without consent of the other partner.
3. Research rules and regulations for the type of business you are starting.
