tree industry for over thirteen years and has trained under certified
arborists for ten of them and recently became certified as an
arborist himself. At Arbor Pro our emphasis is on quality work.
Repeat customers and referrals are a large component of our business.
Our commitment to quality and our contributions to the community
speaks for itself. We are a proud member of the Jacksonville Chamber
of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, and International Society
of Arbor Culture.
Have
tree care questions? Would you like to schedule an estimate? The
best time to contact is late afternoons or weekends. "Ask
the arborist" at iluvtrees@earthlink.net.
How to hire good professional help:
Start with the arborists that are listed in the phone book. Don't
place too much emphasis on the size of the yellow pages ad - some
of the most reputable firms rely almost entirely on word-of-mouth
advertising. Instead, look for what the ad tells you about the
company: number of years in business, professional affiliations,
licenses, certification, etc. Avoid companies that advertise topping.
It is an injurious and unacceptable practice in tree care.
Be aware that the credentials of people calling themselves arborists
can vary widely. Don't hire just anyone who knocks on your door
with a chain saw in their hand! Look for a company that displays
professional credentials.

When you meet with the arborist:
|
|
|
|
Ask
to see current certificates of liability and workers' compensation
insurance, if applicable. |
|
|
|
Ask
for references, and check on the quality of their work
and level of service. |
|
|
|
Don't
be lured by a bargain, don't pay in advance, and do get
another estimate or opinion of the needed work. |
|
|
|
Insist
on a signed contract as to cost, dates when work is to
be performed, and exactly what is to
be done. |

An easy way to find a tree care service provider in your area
is to use the National Arborist Association's Locate your local
NAA member companies program. You can use this program by
calling the NAA at 1-800-733-2622 or by doing a zip code search
on their web site, www.natlarb.com.
When you hire a NAA member tree care company, you are assured
the company has access to the most recent information on tree
care practices
and is insured and/or bonded to protect you and your valuable
property.
