TaeKwonDo Plus is proud to offer Partners in Learning, a National Academics Support Program. The program supports the value of academic effort and, along with our physical training, is indicated in university studies to increase our students' Emotional Quotients (EQ). The three facets of the program are:
safety awareness One:  Safety Awareness
Help your students live risk-free with the critical information from this review of safety tips and habits. With a combination of role-playing and survival code words, this part of our Partners in Learning presentation handles a serious subject in a sensitive and educational fashion. Children learn about whom to trust and whom not to trust in this friendly series of conversations and safety rehearsals.
Two:  Attitude, Values, and Life-Skills
Attitude is everything! A good attitude makes things happen...at school, home and work...don't be down...don't be a negative person...have a "can-do" attitude! Positive thinking is a key to achievement in your school, work, and personal life.

Values give us character. Carry your values with you each day at home, at school, and at play. Make good values a part of who you are.
Honor – It's important that others know we have honor...it's more important that we know we are honorable.
Courtesy – Thoughtfulness and consideration of others...means we take extra steps to help out...even if no one asks us to.
Integrity – When we do the right thing...it's like getting an award...even if no one else knows about it.
Perseverance – We keep trying, and trying...until we succeed.
Self-Control – When we want to do something we know we shouldn't...we use self-control to help us do the right thing.
Courage – We use courage to help us do hard things.
Community – When everyone works together...good things happen for the whole group, and the environment we live in.
Life-skills are the building blocks for success! There is much to gain from the experiences of grandparents, parents, teachers, coaches, historic figures, and others. Life-skills, technical and academic study, along with a desire for lifelong learning, should be a major focus for students at this time of life!

This highly entertaining and impressive part of the program is always a favorite of students. Our professional instructors demonstrate the power and grace of taekwondo in a series of exciting displays of board breaks and self-defense techniques. This is a safe and educational presentation which usually highlights an academic student from the school who is also a TaeKwonDo Plus student.
