At Atlanta Dermatology and Surgery, we offer an atmosphere of caring and concern provided by a staff dedicated to treating your personal needs with courtesy and compassion. Seeing a dermatologist when symptoms of skin disease first appear is important. Expert diagnosis, rapid cure and good management means decreased cost and less suffering. Communication is the key to establishing and maintaining a healthy physician-patient relationship. Our physicians and staff will be glad to spend the time with you to make sure all of your needs are addressed. What Is a Dermatologist? Dermatologists are medical doctors who are graduates of accredited medical schools. After medical school and a year of internship in an approved hospital training program, the future dermatologist must complete at least three years of intensive study, research and practice as a resident in dermatology. As a result, the dermatologist acquires a depth of understanding of the benign and malignant diseases of the hair, skin and nails unmatched by other medical specialist. Therefore, your dermatologist has the medical expertise and surgical ability to manage a variety of different skin problems in people of all ages. About Our Office Office Hours and Appointments: Office hours at Atlanta Dermatology and Surgery are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. To schedule your appointment, please call (404) 501-7707. When calling, please be sure to let us know if you have other medical needs. This information is helpful in scheduling the appropriate amount of time for your visit. If you will be unavoidably late for your appointment, we would appreciate a call to let us know. In the event that you must cancel your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice. Confidentiality Confidentiality is very important to our patients. All office visits and records are kept confidential, and information on test results or concerning your medical needs will only be given out by the physician or under strict orders from the physician. A family member is welcome to accompany you to your appointment if you wish to talk together with the doctor. |
