About the Physicians
Jerry
L. Cooper, MD is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Ohio State University.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Ohio State University
College of Medicine, after his internship and dermatology residency
at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Cooper served
in the army for two years as Chief, Department of Dermatology, USAH,
Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Since then, he has practiced dermatology
in Decatur, where he has built a reputation of trust, caring and competence.
In addition to general dermatology, he specializes in MOHS Micrographic
Surgery for the treatment of skin cancer.
Dr. Cooper is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and by
the American Society for MOHS Surgery. He is a published author and
is on the staff of several hospitals, including Dekalb Medical Center,
Decatur Hospital and the Emory University Department of Dermatology.
He is an active member of several medical organizations and has served
as president of the Atlanta Dermatological Society, the Georgia Society
of Dermatologic Surgeons and the Physicians Alliance for Personal
Care. He was also recognized as one of Atlanta's "Top Docs" in the
May, 1999 issue of Atlanta Magazine. |
Shelly
M. Hall, MD did her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia
in Charlottesville. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from
Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC. After an
internship in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine,
Dr. Hall went on to continue her specialty training in dermatology
at Howard University in Washington DC. On completion of her training,
she joined Dr. Jerry Cooper in private practice here in Decatur in 1996.
Dr. Hall has been certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
She is on staff at Dekalb Medical Center, Columbia Northlake Hospital
and Emory University Department of Dermatology.
She is a published author and is active in several medical organizations,
including the American Academy of Dermatology, Women's Medical Alliance,
the Rebecca Lee Society and American Medical Association. |
Dr.
Joan Wu graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received
her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. After
serving her internal medicine internship at Harvard University's New
England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, she went on to complete her
specialty training in both clinical dermatology and dermatologic surgery
at the University of Michigan Medical Center.
Dr. Wu is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of
Dermatology. She is a published author and has presented at the annual
American Academy of Dermatology meetings. Her area of interest is
general dermatology. She is currently on staff at the Dekalb Medical
Center and is also a member of several medical organizations. |
