Our Dental Exam Includes

2. Computerized bite evaluation (T - Scan)
    Why? Fact - Excessive force fracture and break teeth. T-Scans allow the dentist to see if the force distribution is the same on both sides of the mouth, and if any teeth have excessive force (pressure) on biting and chewing.
3. Oral cancer exam -ViziLite
   Why? Fact - One American dies every hour from oral cancer. If oral cancer is found at the earliest stage, treatment is more than 90% successful. Yet more than 8,000 Americans die of orally-related cancer every year because they do not have regular oral cancer examinations or delay seeking treatment.
   Early identification is the key to preventing oral cancer. According to the ADA, 25% of oral cancers occur in people who do not smoke and have no other risk factors. Therefore, we believe that every patient should be tested for oral cancer at least once a year.
   How is the test administered? The ViziLite test is a painless, two-minute visual exam. First, you swish a cleansing solution in your mouth for 60 seconds and spit it out. Then your healthcare provider performs a visual examination of your mouth using the ViziLite test. The light makes detecting these potentially harmful areas easier than ever before.
