Best Dental Insurance

Make a commitment to yourself to get your teeth and gums examined every 6 months. The longer you wait, the worse it will be (and costly!). Regular check ups will extend the life of your teeth and help maintain their look and feel! Also 4 out of 5 people are walking around with the worst silent killer of teeth and it's called periodontitis- aka gum disease.

Biggest Misconception About Dentistry

The practice that offers the lowest price is the practice you should choose.

Maybe - but not always. Here are a few points to consider.

Point #1: The price you see offered may not be for the services you want performed. Before you select a practice, decide what you want to accomplish.

Price is usually an indication of quality. More efficient Dentistry may cost more. Better trained dentists who want to give you more time and quality of service cost more. Reliable service and products cost more. You don't buy the cheapest car, clothes or foods. Don't let price be the deciding factor when choosing a dentist.

Point #2: The price you see advertised may not be the price you pay.

Many people have learned that the low price they saw advertised was not the amount they were charged.

And if you've hired a dentist, you too may have been the victim of false or misleading advertising. You probably learned the hard way that some companies offer a cheap price - and then pressure you into paying a lot more once they get you in the office. Some of them may not even mean to do it, but it just happens.

You'll find other practices - professionals like me who work hard to earn your trust and respect.

As a way of improving our profession, I've dedicated my business to educating the public. The only way you can make an intelligent decision is to have all the facts you need.

Why? Fact- 70% of decay goes undetected with radiography.
(Digital Imaging Fiber-Optic Trans-Illumination) (Diagnodent - Laser)

A diagnostic imaging system for caries detection, using transilluminated light, not X-ray. It enables dentists to detect incipient, frank and recurrent decay on all tooth surfaces (before it is evident radiographically, visually, or through use of an explorer) and to identify restorations in need of replacement.

DIFOTI is more sensitive than radiography for caries detection

Inter-proximal 2x (X-ray 31%, DIFOTI 69%)
Occlusal 4x (X-ray 20%, DIFOTI 80%)
Smooth 10x (X-ray 4%, DIFOTI 41%)

Detects recurrent decay around restorations (amalgams-leakage, composites, sealents)

Detects other changes (fractures, cracks, etc.)

Caries (cavity detection) - We use two new technologies to detect decay.

3 Serious Mistakes People Make With Your Dental Health

Over the course of my professional career I have been able to isolate the 3 most serious mistakes people make regarding their dental health. These are the most serious because they lead to the most damage and cause more pain and expense than any other mistakes that can be made.

I want you to be aware of them so that you can do something for your dental health before it becomes a big problem.

Here are the mistakes:

  1. Not knowing that maintaining regular visits is far less expensive than if you "wait till it hurts". In fact, did you know that most dental insurance companies will pay up to 100% for maintenance care but pay much less for emergency or corrective care? They know it's cheaper for them (and therefore) to prevent dental problems than fix them.
  2. Not recognizing that bad breath, Bleeding gums and cracked fillings or teeth are the warning signs of much more painful and expensive problems to come.
  3. Believing that dental problems only relate to the mouth. The truth is that a bad dental condition can and will adversely affect your overall health if you don't take care of it soon.
