The Chamblee Company, Inc. was established in the spring of 1979 as a commercial real estate brokerage firm. Initially staffed by just one person, the firm has continued to expand its operations to presently employ a staff of ten. These full-time professionals have developed and currently manage a commercial real estate portfolio in excess of 750,000 square feet of office, retail, office showroom, hotel, entertainment, and assisted living community properties.

The vast majority of the company's developments have been in the Northeast Jackson area and the dynamic growth corridor along the Lakeland East passage into Flowood and western Rankin County.

Since 1989, The Chamblee Company has developed on average, through new construction in excess of $8 million annually, while maintaining a fully staffed professional property management, leasing, and brokerage team.

Their most recently completed developments include the Sleep Inn Hotel at their Parkway Place development (at the intersection of Airport Road and Lakeland Drive) and Heritage House of Castlewoods Assisted Living Community overlooking the Castlewoods Golf & Country Club. The assisted living community is a joint venture with a Mississippi senior property management firm, Delco, Inc. Current projects scheduled to begin in 1999 are a four-story, 100-unit, all-suites hotel at Parkway Place adjacent to the Sleep Inn; Phase II of the Castlewoods Assisted Living Community, increasing the total number of senior apartments to 200; a smaller 80-unit assisted living community to be built in Kosciusko, Mississippi; and several additional restaurants and branch bank facilities to be located at Parkway Place Center.

The Chamblee Company is owned by Rodney and Nancy Chamblee. The University of Mississippi graduates have been active in numerous charities. Alumni, and civic organizations in Metro Jackson for the past 25 years.
