Our Plans and Specifications

Once a decision has been reached regarding the general design and plan of your home, our architect will design your home with respect to your ideas, opinions, and specifications. We also maintain that the input of both the architect and builder can be beneficial at this time, as well as throughout the project. Our building plans will begin with a preliminary sketch for your review. The final plans will consist of the following:

1.	Floor Plan
2.	Front, Side, and Rear Elevations
3.	Foundation Schedule
4.	Stair Detail
5.	Wall Sections (Typical)
6.	Framing Detail (Typical)
7.	Electrical Layout

Planning

Once the plans and material specifications have been completed, construction will begin, along with the process of planning for the interior and exterior of the home. The builder will be available on the building site daily supervising and ensuring quality control throughout the home building process. During this phase, the homeowner will review styles, patterns, and colors for several areas of the interior of the home such as flooring, cabinets, stairs, and trim. The homeowner will also review areas of the exterior of the home, such as roofing shingles, doors, and windows. The builder will provide brochures, catalogs, and samples to aid homeowners in their selections. The homeowner will also have the opportunity to meet with the suppliers who may make suggestions and recommendations in regard to such areas as flooring, cabinets, and lighting. Once the homeowner has reviewed the various options regarding these areas, the detailing process will proceed.

Detailing

During this phase of building, the homeowner will no longer have to visualize ideas and images regarding the appearance of the home. As the work is being completed, all those hours of reviewing, eliminating, and selecting the styles and colors for the home will be fully appreciated when encompassed with the quality engraved in all of our homes. We encourage our homeowner to visit the building site and provide feedback regarding every aspect of the building process. Throughout the process of detailing the home, the final touches are being made to bring the home to completion.

Finalizing

The final preparations begin to ensure a smooth and timely closing. The landscaping will be complete and any and all touch ups should be made at this time. The builder will have a final walkthrough with the homeowner to make sure that all work has been completed. At this time, a final punch list will be made to ensure completion of all items and satisfaction of all work completed for the homeowner.
