 Attorney
Jesse R. Dillard, Jr. was born and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
He engages in the general practice of law with a concentration on personal
injury, real estate, traffic/DWI and bankruptcy law matters. He is a graduate
of North Carolina State University (B.S., Chemical Engineering), a 1985
graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology (M.S., Engineering Management),
and a 1991 graduate of the Florida State University College of Law (J.D.
with high honors).Before attending law school, Attorney Dillard served as an officer in the United States Air Force. After graduating from law school, he practiced as a commercial litigation associate with Steel, Hector and Davis in Miami, Florida. In 1993, he moved to Charlotte, where he practiced with Ferguson, Stein, Wallas, Adkins, Gresham and Sumter, PA and Todd, Parham, Harris and Dixon, PLLC before starting his own firm. Attorney Dillard is a member of the Florida Bar, the North Carolina Bar, the National Bar, the National Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers, and the John S. Leary Bar Association. He is also a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Dillard is married to Attorney Ruth Bizzell Dillard. They have one daughter, Jendayi. |

 Attorney
Angel R. Gorden is a native of Savannah, Georgia. She engages in the
general practice of law with a focus in the areas of personal injury,
criminal law, traffic, bankruptcy, and real estate law. She is a 1991
graduate of Howard University (B.A. Political Science with honors) and
a May 1997 graduate of Cumberland School of Law, Samford University (Juris Doctorate).Before attending law school, Attorney Gorden worked with the Birmingham Police Department, Detention Division. While in law school, Attorney Gorden completed summer clerkships with the Attorney General's Office in Tallahassee, Florida and Lester B. Johnson, III., P.C. in Savannah, Georgia. She was also a judicial extern with the Jefferson County Circuit Court in Birmingham, Alabama in 1995 and a legal intern with Legal Services of Metro Birmingham, Inc. in 1997. During law school, Attorney Gorden excelled in Cumberland's Trial Advocacy Program. She was a member of Cumberland's National Negotiation Team and the Trial Advocacy Board. Attorney Gorden is a member of the North Carolina Bar, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers, the John S.  Attorney
Annette D. Brown was born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Avon
Park, Florida. She engages in the general practice of law with a concentration
on workers' compensation, personal injury, traffic/DWI, and real estate
matters. Attorney Brown attended the University of South Florida where
she earned a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice, with honors (1995). She
later attended law school at the University of Florida where she graduated
with a Juris Doctorate (1998).During law school, Attorney Brown completed summer clerkships with the Florida Institutional Legal Services in Gainesville, Florida (1996). She also completed a summer clerkship with the law firm of Stewart, Joyner, Jordan-Holmes, P.A. in Tampa, Florida (1997). In addition, Attorney Brown served as executive editor of the Umoja Law Journal, where she gained extensive training in legal research and writing. Attorney Brown is a member of the North Carolina Bar, the Mecklenburg County Bar, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina.
