Patricia
Powell Hundley, M.A., L.P.A. - Owner, Director
Patricia Powell Hundley, M.A. is a clinical psychologist who specializes
in working with adults and older adolescents. She has been in private
practice over 14 years and has extensive experience in the treatment
of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse issues, ACOA and other
family of origin issues, substance abuse issues, dissociative disorders,
eating disorders, separation and divorce recovery and prevention,
codependency, relationship issues, and couples therapy. She also
works with anxiety, depression, stress, and anger management. She
works closely with clients to identify specific issues and goals
that are to be the focus of therapy, and then assists them in developing
effective strategies for accomplishing these goals. Her services
cover a broad range of treatment choices, with some clients seeking
specific behavioral change, while others work through traumatic
life experiences, grieve losses, and gain insight into issues underlying
troubled relationships or problem behavior patterns.
Patricia earned
her B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee,
Chattanooga, graduating magna cum laude, and receiving the school's
1979 Academic Merit Award. She earned her M.A. in clinical psychology
from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and completed
her clinical internship at a local mental health center. Upon
licensure by the North Carolina Psychology Board, she began working
in private practice and established Fairview Psychological Services
shortly thereafter. In addition to licensure as a psychologist
by the North Carolina Psychology Board she is a certified Health
Service Provider, P.A. in NC. and a Nationally Certified Psychologist.
She has served as an executive board member for the North Carolina
Association of Professional Psychologists and the Charlotte Psychotherapy
Consortium. Additional professional activities include conducting
workshops and providing clinical supervision and consultation
for professional colleagues.
On a personal
note, she is married and she and her husband of 29 years have
two adult sons.

Carrie
Schnirring, M.A., L.P.A.
Carrie
Schnirring is a psychologist who specializes in psychological assessments
and psychotherapeutic treatment of children, adolescents, and adults.
She has experience treating depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive
disorder, and adjustment disorders. She works closely with children,
families, couples, and individuals, focusing on realistic behavioral
strategies to better manage behavior difficulties, attention deficits,
or learning disabilities. Carrie has extensive experience in evaluating
children for admission to academically gifted schools and programs,
as well as evaluations to identify and develop interventions for
attention deficit disorders, scholastic underachievement, specific
learning disabilities and evaluations and interventions for children
and adults with more comprehensive special needs.
Carrie earned
her B.A. in psychology and criminal justice from the University
of Dayton, OH graduating summa cum laude. She earned her M.A.
in clinical psychology from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Since licensure as a psychologist by the North Carolina Psychology
Board, she has worked in private practice, and teaches college
level psychology courses at a local campus.

Shelley
Drummond, M.Ed., L.P.C., N.C.C.
Shelley
Drummond is a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified
counselor. She earned a B.A. in psychology, graduating magna cum
laude, and a Master of Education in counseling, both from the University
of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. She specializes in working with
children and adolescents on issues such as adjustment to divorce
or separation, absent parents, behavior problems at home or at school,
academic difficulties, social difficulties, bereavement, attention
deficit with or without hyperactivity, and anger management. Shelley
also works with adult clients and families. In addition to her work
in private practice, she has experience as a school counselor, and
experience with bereavement through the local KinderMourn program.
