Bahamas
& More

- Colonial:
The
colonial shutters are used when the architecture needs the look
of a colonial shutter. The shutters are permanently attached on
each side and swing closed in the event of a hurricane. After
the shutters are closed you must install a minimum of one horizontal
cross bar.
- Roll
Shades: The insulated roll shade is an interior roll-up shutter
and does not meet the hurricane code. It is used primarily on
screen rooms to block out sun, heat and rain.
- Roll
Up: The roll up shutter is the "top of the line"
in hurricane shutters. This shutter has a housing on top with
side rails on each side. The slats are rolled upon an axle within
the housing. Depending upon the size of the shutter the roll up
is operated by, a pull strap, a hand crank or an electric motor.

- Bahamas:
The Bahaman shutter is an excellent choice when you architecture
lends itself to the Key West look. The Bahaman shutter works best
on South and West elevations of your home where shade becomes
important. The Bahama is permanently installed, in the event of
a hurricane you need only screw bottom bolts into existing anchors.
Bahama
with Open Louver: The open louver Bahama either on the top
half of an opening or covering the entire opening is great for
shade, while still letting in lots of fresh air. We can install
this open louver shutter with panels to meet hurricane code.
- Clamshell:
You know the ones on the homes built in the fifties. They are
built with a series of slats that curve toward the bottom. They
operate like a Bahaman shutter and come in either a shade or impact
shutter.
- Impact
/ Security Film: This tested film will withstand the impact
of flying debris during a storm. The film itself is tested and
installed connected to the existing glass and window frame. The
window unit that we will be installing the film upon has not been
tested. The film will withstand the storm if your window frame
will withstand the storm.
- Screen
Rooms: We will install a screen room with insulated roof or
close in your existing covered patio.
- Retractable
Awning: Cover your patio or window with the touch of a button.
Unlike fixed canvas awnings these may be opened to let in sunlight
or closed to keep sunlight out. The awnings can be operated from
inside your home.
