It is such a wonderful thing to see the powerful hand of God touch an individual and change them forever! Liberty Ministries is a church that is full of people who have been touched and changed by God. It is exciting to see God mend a broken family, to see him deliver the drug addict, and restore relationships between a parent and child. It is exciting to see those who are lost and without Christ find out what it means to have a relationship with the true and living God.

Liberty Ministries strives to be a church that is meeting the relevant needs of the people. We are constantly praying and seeking that God will show us how we can best minister to each individual and family that we come into contact with. We strongly believe that the answers to mans problems are found in the person of Jesus Christ, and in His Word.

Staff

Dr. Gene Tilly, Pastor

Pastor Tilly has been serving as Senior Pastor at Liberty Ministry for over ten years. Under his leadership the church has experienced significant growth and is currently in the process of relocating to provide much needed ministry space. Pastor Tilly serves as the President of the R.O.S.E. Evangelistic Association preaching revivals all along the eastern half of the United States. He is also the director of outreach for the Emmanuel Board of Missions. He has been married to his wife, Wanda, for 32 years. They have three children and two grandchildren.

What Makes Liberty Different?

We know and believe that we are but a part of the local body of believers, and we know that our church is not for everyone. So what are some of the distinctions of Liberty Ministry, what makes us different from everyone else? Here are a few things that we hear from people.

Practical, relevant, conservative Bible teaching without all of man's traditions - We believe in the Bible. We do not believe that we have to explain God's word away. We hold to the fact that the Scriptures are true from cover to cover. We seek to be practical in the teaching of God's Word because we believe that God's people need to be able to apply the timeless truths of God's Word into their lives today.

Heart-stirring praise & worship - We believe that Worship is one of the primary purposes of God's people. We believe that worship and music have an important part in the church. We have searched the scriptures to find teaching and instruction on how God's people should worship Him. We believe that this must be done in Spirit and in Truth. We also believe that worship should be done wholeheartedly, with all that is within us.

Close-knit family atmosphere - We believe that every believer is a part of the body of Christ. We believe that the local church should provide a family environment for every believer. We believe that the Bible teaches that building strong, Christ-centered relationships with other Christians helps the Christian strengthen their walk with Christ.

Ministries to Help You!

Liberty Baptist Church
Sunday School & Bible Study For All Ages! - at 10:00 am every Sunday, Sunday School classes for every member of your family. Our Sunday School classes are designed to help each participant grow in their knowledge of the Lord and to provide practical ways to apply scripture.

Children
We have an active Sunday School for children, ages 2 & up, with lessons geared to their age group. Children learn & love Biblical principles that help them deal with life issues at their level.

Wednesday Family Hour
Our children and teen meet for their own time of fun, fellowship & Bible study while our adults take part in an informal discussion lead by Pastor Tilly. Our current discussion is centered on the 43 positive character traits covered in the Bible. Coffee and refreshments are served during this exciting time.

Emmanuel Board of Missions
Helping send missionaries around the world, Emanuel Board of Missions will be moving its headquarters to Liberty from Asheville, NC

Homeless
Liberty Ministries is actively involved in feeding & caring for the homeless of our community. Working through a downtown homeless shelter. We help provide food, clothing & encouragement of God's love and protection.

R.O.S.E Evangelism
The R.O.S.E. Team travels throughout the eastern United States singing and ministering the word in revivals & special occasions.

Liberty Counseling Center
Dr. Tilly is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and specializes in marital and family counseling. Counseling sessions are available anytime during the day and most evenings.

A Bible centered, Christ honoring, fully accredited university preparing young men and women to enter full-time Christian ministry.

Liberty Day School
A comprehensive K-4 through 6th grade traditional education program, focusing on reading, writing and arithmetic in a Christ-like atmosphere.
