Appointments

Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

ABORTION IS CHOSEN |

In
the state of Mississippi it is law that anyone seeking an abortion
must receive certain information regarding the risks of abortion
versus the risks of continuing a pregnancy to term. This must
be done at least 24 hours before having an abortion. Therefore,
it is necessary to first make an appointment for this.
When
you come for your first appointment we will perform lab work to
determine your blood type and your red blood cell count. Also,
you must bring some form of identification and anyone under 18
years of age must be accompanied by parents with identification.

IF
ABORTION IS CHOSEN
Patient should: |
1.
Shower or bathe the morning of the procedure.
2. Take NO MEDICATIONS other than those needed for chronic ailments
such as diabetes, epilepsy or high blood pressure.
3. You may eat a light meal before coming to the clinic.
4. Expect to be in the clinic about 2 hours.
5. It is best to be accompanied by a companion to drive you home after
the procedure, but it is not absolutely necessary.
6. Bring your fee in cash, money order or travelers check.
7. Due to the limited waiting area, we request only one (1) person
accompany you, and no children.
8. A 24-hour contact line is always available to patients. |
Clinic Routine
The women go through
a private information session and counseling. Patients are given medications
to help sedate them. The doctor will do a physical, pelvic exam and then
proceed with the abortion procedure. The patient will then be in recovery
for approximately 30 minutes.
