| RECOVERY |
|
You will rest
for approximately 30 minutes under observation. All necessary
medications, including Rhogram to Rh negative women, will be administered.
Your counselor and nurse will discuss post-procedural care and
medication with you. Most normal activities may be resumed immediately.
Post-operative care and consultation is available at all times.
The phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Medical
staff is on call at all times.

| FOLLOW-UP |
|
Plan
to visit the clinic or your personal physician for a follow-up exam
in three weeks. We strongly encourage every patient to visit us
for this final medical exam.
Significant lab test results will be explained including information
about treatment that may be indicated. If you, your family or friends
have any questions, please don't hesitate to call us.

FACTS |

A
waiting room is provided for guests; however, visitors may leave
and return when the patient is discharged. If requested, we will
provide an appropriate document to excuse a patient from work or
school activities. A medical report will be forwarded to a patient's
personal physician to update her medical file, at the patient's
request.
Confidentiality
is maintained. Protecting a patient's dignity and privacy is of
utmost importance at New Woman Medical Center.
