| WATERING |
| Water is necessary
in large quantities for the lawn and should be applied as needed
in the growing season. It will require more frequent watering in
the summer, but winter watering should not be neglected. Water early
in the day so that the grass will have time to dry before night.
This avoids the situation in which fungus diseases thrive. |
| FERTILIZING |
| All turf should receive
an application of fertilizer periodically. Fertilization should
be applied during the spring, fall and winter in South Florida.
There are many kinds of fertilizer and you should consult your lawn
experts to determine which is correct for your turf. |
| MOWING |
| Grass should be cut
at various heights, depending in the type. To maintain turf 2 inches
in high, cut the grass before it reaches 4 inches. Grass can be
killed by continually mowing it too closely. |

| Several insects and

pest, homeowners should make inspections of their lawns, so that
