Benjamin D. Massey, M.D.

Dr. Benjamin D. Massey has a B. S. degree from Lambuth College in Jackson, Tennessee and a M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Little Rock, Arkansas at the University of Arkansas Hospital.

He then completed a fellowship at Washington University-Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Palmetto Gastroenterology, P. A. was founded in 1994 by Dr. Massey. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the Columbia Medical Society, South Carolina Medical Association, South Carolina Gastroenterology Association American College of Physicians, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the National Foundation for Ileitis and Colitis.

Dr. George A. Jenkins, III, has a B.S. degree from Presbyterian College and a M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Carolinas Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Jenkins joined the group in July of 1997.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology. He is a member of the Columbia Medical Society, South Carolina Medical Association, South Carolina Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, National Foundation for Ileitis and Colitis, American College of Physicians and the American Gastroenterology Association.

Spencer J. Jenkins, M.D.

Dr. Spencer J. Jenkins has a B.S. degree from Presbyterian College and a M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in the Navy at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. After completing his residency, he was a Staff Internist at Beaufort Naval Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina.

He then completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Jenkins joined our group in August of 2003. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology. He is a member of the Columbia Medical Society, South Carolina Medical Association, South Carolina Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology.
