Dr. Swords is originally from Blakely, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia after four years in the United States Air Force. In 1996, he earned his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. After graduating, he moved to Columbus and bought the practice of Dr Dan Palmer. Dr. Swords is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Georgia Dental Association. He now lives in Midland with his wife, Lacy and daughter, Halee.
