David
Hunter
"Drawing
and printmaking are more than an art...they are
a way of expressing an inner feeling about things
I see..."
David
Hunter, a native of Central Florida, inherited his
father's artistic talent and began to draw at an
early age. Although David worked with oils. Acrylics
and water colors for some tine, he discovered his
strong attraction for pen and ink drawings while
illustrating his microscopic findings for his master's
thesis in biology. David began exhibiting his drawings
in summer of 1977. The response to his individualistic
style and subject matter was highly encouraging.
David developed his style by adding a new dimension
to his work, the acquisition of an etching press
and the production of original prints. The accuracy,
devotion to detail and involvement that made David's
pen and ink drawings unique, now characterize each
of his etchings.
We
are proud to represent David Hunter as part of our
Gallery. You will love the detail of his original
artwork.
