Wavering Place was originally a cotton plantation and has been in the family since 1760. The main structure, a magnificent Greek Revival home, was built in 1854. We have recently restored the home, as well as numerous outbuildings. These form a centerpiece for the gardens. In restoring the property, we added extensive plantings of native flora, including the formal garden on the east side of the house. The garden provides an unparalleled setting in which to display the natural beauty of our southeastern native plants. The nursery also offers complete landscaping services, specializing in design and implementation, site evaluation, rehabilitation and ecological restoration.
